Victims Based on Gender

Thought crime against women is on a rise in all fields being a victim of cybercrime could be most traumatic experience for a woman. (Misra, 2013). The online of women exemplifies twenty-first century behavior that profoundly harms women yet too often remains overlooked (Citron, 2009). Women tend to be particular targets for cybercrime given the assumption that women aren’t tech-savvy but there are aspects of it that go overlooked. Reasons such as sexual exploitation as well as cyber harassment and stalking go unnoticed. Women are more likely to be harassed and stalked online as well as sexual exploitation (i.e sex trafficking, nonconsensual pornography, etc.).
